Exploring TESOL Teachers’ Perceptions of Project-Based Assessment in ELT Classroom

This study explored the perceptions of TESOL teachers in Indonesia regarding use project-based assessment their classrooms. As has undergone massive development and shifting paradigms, there been recognition for to reconceptualise practice. There have attempts made by some countries, including Indonesia, introduce various methods assessment. Since it introduced 2016 through government document, little is known about teachers’ this method. Furthermore, mostly used science classroom, but not ELT classroom. Research classroom how perceive would therefore be valuable additions field. a qualitative case as its methodology gain an in-depth understanding emerging issue. Four around Surabaya were interviewed The findings revealed that highly value despite challenges they encounter. Hence, implications directions further studies are also provided.Keywords: method, assessment, Teachers, Indonesia.
